All Welcome! Weekly Open Push Hands, Tues, 7-9 PM FREE! First Annual Baltimore Gift of Tai ChiThe 1st Annual Baltimore Gift of Tai Chi Internal Martial Art Tournament took place on Saturday April 25that the Towson MD Holiday Inn. The tournament seemed well organized although, its maiden voyage had a relatively small number of competitors, the event attracted a good number of masters and senior judges. It also happened to fall on World Tai Chi Day so the entire assembled group was asked to stand in the tournament area and perform a couple of minutes in honor of that annual event prior to the beginning of competition. WST's only competitor this year was Tai Chi instructor Michael Daryabeygi. He entered Advanced Yang Form, Restricted Step Push Hands and the Moving Push Hands events. He earned the Gold Medal in all three events. "I would have liked there to be more guys to compete against- hopefully next year will be bigger" said Michael . After seeing the attendees and setup of the event I think he will most probably get his wish. Congrats to Michael on a job well done! More Videos >>
